I’m sure without a doubt 80% of you reading this are in exactly the same shoes as me.

High school was a nightmare.

We weren’t ‘cool’, we were ‘lame’.

We liked Comics, Video Games, Table Top Games, Card Games, Cosplay, Lolita, Anime, Manga, Cartoons, Fanfic, Books and Computers.

But Highschool is behind us, and were in a new world now. A world were all of the above are now cool.

My Stargate boxsets, My little pony shirts, Baldur’s Gate games, X-men comics and Cosplay show my cred and what was once our ‘weakness’ has become our greatest strength!

This post isn’t an in-depth look at the rise of the geek.

It’s a salute to all the years I spent being picked on and ridiculed. To all the hours I spent doing the things that I loved.

I won the battle.

Now I’m the one that’s cool. Must suck to be you.

Welcome to my first wig review on my new domain!

I have quite a few wigs so I plan on going through them and reviewing them for the site.

This is one of my most recent purchases which is great because you guys get as much details as possible.

With some of the older wigs I own I might not know much details about them anymore

So onto the review!

The Wig is a three-piece blended wig in Lilac X Pink X Light Blonde.

It features the main wig with 2 additional clip on ponytails.

Purchased from: Coser Style on Taobao

Price: 135yuan = Approx $20Aud

As this item was bought with a whole bunch of other items shipping is kind of hard to work out. Taobao is in Chinese and require you to use an agent to ship overseas. I used Taobao Now.

The store itself has a shipping fee of 25Yuan = $4AUD

The lowest shipping costs available from Taobao now are about $19AUD but this is based on weight.

They also charge a fee for there service which is 10% or Minimum is 50yuan = $8AUD.

So if you were just buying this item it would cost you around $50AUD all up. Obviously more items lowers the cost.

So even if you just got this wig the cost is quite reasonable!

Communication: As I had to use an agent I didn’t actually speak to the store itself the agent contacted them in Chinese. Taobao Now’s Communication was really good!

I sent the details of the order on the 4/12/11 and got a reply on the 5/12/11. They then contacted the sellers within a day or two of receiving payment. Due to some other items from other sellers being unavailable it did take over a month to get to sent out as we were working out replacement items.

The package was shipped on the 4/1/12 and I received the package on the 9/1/12. 5 Days to get from china!! so good. That’s with the item being checked by customs as well.

Packaging: 

Quality: The wig is made from synthetic fibers. As the store is in Chinese I don’t know what type.

The fibers are quite soft and silky, but show up a little shiny in photos with flash on.

Again as the store is in Chinese I was unable to find out if it was heat resistant. Due to the price I would say it would NOT be Heat Resistant.

Overall: I’m super in love with this wig! its soft and comfortable. The communication was good, shipping was fast and the price was very good!

I would defiantly pick up some more wigs from them. I have a few more upcoming reviews of wigs that I purchased from this store as well so keep an eye out for them!

With a new year and a new domain comes somewhat of a fresh slate but to be honest this year is no different than the last year or the year before unless I make it.

So I’m starting off this new blog domain with a few things about be you may not have known.

Many of these things are very personal but I find if I can’t admit them to you and my friends I don’t have a hope with coping with them do I!

So lets begin

1. I hardly wear make up normally

I know I’m a beauty blogger but the truth is I hardly wear make-up in fact its quite common for me to leave the house with no make up on at all. Sometimes I will just put some mascara on but to be honest unless its a special event or I’m reviewing something I’m very lazy!

2. I wear pj’s all the time!

Seriously I’m the type of person who strips of their jeans and top and slips into a large t-shirt and running pants as soon as I get home! I have all these lovely clothes which I do love to wear but I hardly do.

3. I have servere scoliosis

Scoliosis for those who don’t know is a curvature of the spine. I have severe scoliosis of over 80 degrees of benditure in all three directions it can form in. To give you some contrast and standard spine has 0 degrees.

This deforms my body causing my ribs, hips, back, chest, shoulders, neck and legs to be twisted. It does cause me some pain and it defiantly affects my self esteem. Some day’s I’m fine and I barely notice it others I want to drive my fingers into my flesh and physically move my ribs and spine. They are unsure what or why it formed they simply know if formed during adolescence and will continue to get worse over the years. I had to wear a brace for 2 years in high school and I wish I had been more responsible and had worn it more but in the end it didn’t help. I’m currently looking into seeing a spine specialist in adelaide to get a few opinions on options at the moment.

4. I have been on anti-depressents since I was 12

I have depression. I was lucky enough to have a mother who took notice of my moods and thought maybe I wasn’t being a whiny teenager and something was actually wrong. It still affects me today and I still have off days but I worked through a lot of my issues  but still have a serotonin imbalance. I also suffer from moderate anxiety which can pretty much cripple me and cause me to have panic attacks. Which is super fun.

5. I’m incredibly lazy

Seriously my biggest enemy is procrastination. There are so many things I want to do but I find it hard to stay motivated or even if I am motivated I get distracted very easily. I always have so much to do and never enough time because I end up not managing my time well enough.

I hope these things give a little insight into who I am. Hopefully documenting them and openly expressing them helps me to work on a few things.

Hi guys!

I’m back with quick review of the SKIN79 Hot Pink Super Plus Triple Functions BB Cream wow is that a mouthful!

So after seeing a few people using this BB Cream I thought to myself I had to try it!

Frankly every time I see an ad for BB Cream in Australia about how it’s so new I giggle to myself. Western countries are just so behind in the times!

There are a huge range of BB Creams on the market now, so the first few things that drew me to this brand were, the people who had already mentioned it on their blogs as well as the bright pink packaging! I’m a sucker for packaging!

I love BB Cream. Frankly I’m really lazy and the less stuff I have to put on the better. Also I hate that look when someone is wearing too much foundation or if it’s not the right colour! I always have the fear I will end up like that.

I now wear this everyday, unless I’m going to a special event or doing photos. The coverage is enough for me to feel comfortable with and not be heavy at all!

The only thing I don’t like about this BB Cream is, as its directed at Asians it has quite a grey undertone were as my skin has a pink undertone as I’m really pale.  You can see the slight colour difference in the photo above.

Pros

- Reasonable coverage for everyday wear

- Small enough to travel with

- Cute Packaging

- SPF25

- Not overly expensive

- Blends well

Cons

- Has a bit of a grey undertone so I have to set it with a light powder, Great for darker tones!

- Can’t really see any of the whitening effects

- Have to buy it online

- only available in 1 colour

Would I get again? Yes! but I’m going to try out one of SKIN79 other BB Creams that appears to have a more of a pink undertone.

I do like this BB Cream a lot but I feel it might be a little to grey for my skin.
